Different types of cloud, e.g. cirrus – very high, wispy, white clouds; stratus – layers or sheets of cloud. They often cover the sky giving us dull grey days. Cumulus – clouds with rounded tops, like cauliflowers.
Now you see it, now you don't – clear, misty, foggy.
How strong the wind blows, e.g. calm, gentle, moderate, strong, gale
We use a thermometer to measure the temperature in degrees Celcius (°C).
We use a rain gauge to measure the rainfall in millimeters (mm).
We use an anemometer to measure the speed of the wind in km/h.
We use a weather vane to measure the direction of the wind using points of the compass.
