I've lived in Barcelona all my life. I've had enough of all the noise and rubbish the tourists are creating when they visit my lovely city. There should be a limit to the number of tourists visiting some sights in the city. What do you think?

I totally agree with you. Streets and roads are often overcrowded with tourists. Sometimes I have to queue for over an hour only to buy a newspaper! This is ridiculous. We are only a city of 1.6 million people but more than 8 million holidaymakers visit the city every year!

I disagree with the comments made about tourists in Barcelona. At least 12,000 jobs are created by tourism. Tourists spend over 25M euros (£18M) a day in Barcelona. We need tourists to visit our city to get money to build new houses, schools and roads in our city.

We should be glad that so many visitors want to visit Barcelona to see our exciting and interesting city. I am very proud to share my identity, culture and heritage with the tourists. Barcelona would be very quiet without the tourists.
