If there is no force of gravity acting, what happens to us?
We feel weightless, and would start to float

Without the force of gravity pulling you downwards you would start to float, and you would need to stay inside your spacecraft to make sure you didn’t float away into space!

You would certainly notice it if you started to float, but a lack of gravity would also cause changes that you might not notice. These would occur slowly over a period of time, and would include changes to our bones and muscles.

What is the job of our bones?

Our bones keep us upright (support) and protect delicate parts of our bodies. Drag the numbers for each bone below to the correct parts of the skeleton!
