Farmer: I’m against the proposal because my animals will have less land to graze. Over half of my land will be lost (drowned) if they extended the reservoir. The compensation given from the water board is not enough to compensate for the loss of the land.

Army Officer: The army uses the park to train soldiers and to practise low flying. The location of the extended reservoir will prevent us from flying in the area.

National Park warden: Wildlife is an important part of the park. The extended reservoir will destroy habitats of wildlife such as rare flowers and red kites. The noise from the machinery during the process of extending the reservoir and building the dam will also scare other wildlife away.

Canoeist: This is a vey exciting proposal! I would definitely use the lake more as the lake can be very busy during the holiday season at present.
hide
Visitor: I enjoy visiting the park to walk the mountains and lakes. The footpaths and the beautiful scenery would be spoilt if the reservoir will be extended.
hide
Fisherman: There are not enough lakes and rivers in the park. By extending the present reservoir there would be more fish to catch! (Reservoirs and lakes 0.6%).
hide
Water Board Company: There is a demand to increase water capacity for people in Wales. The environmental impact of extending the reservoir is low as most of the area is covered by bracken, open land and wasteland.
hide
Tourist Company Officer: We can offer greater access to water sport activities for locals and tourist by extending the reservoir. The demands for water sport facilities are increasing annually in the park.
