In February 2015, the University of Wales Trinity St David received funding from the Welsh Government's Capital Investment Fund: Welsh Language Centres and Learning Spaces, to establish a Welsh community centre. This centre will operate as a catalyst for promoting the use of Welsh in Carmarthen town and the surrounding area.

Canolfan Peniarth has created a new website for South West Wales Centre of Teacher Education, which has a proud tradition of providing high quality teacher education and training here in South West Wales . The Center is proud to build on its historical strengths of working closely with schools and other partners in developing excellent learning and teaching.
A number of interactive activities have been designed to strengthen the Welsh skills of teachers and classroom assistants following their period on the National Welsh Sabbatical scheme. These activities are, however, suitable for anyone who wants to try them. There are a number of various linguistic activities that give people the opportunity to practice their Welsh and extend their knowledge of it.
The Mêts Maesllan series includes 32 colourful Welsh reading books which are a combination of stories and non-fiction. They follow the life and interests of a lively bunch of friends. The books are graded at four different levels with the aim of developing the literacy skills of children aged 7-11. A range of interactive games and worksheets match every book. A handbook for teachers is also available.
Canolfan Peniarth has developed a unique news website for the Religious Education subject area in Wales. The website, which is hosted by Canolfan Peniarth, is a joint venture between University of Wales Trinity Saint David and Bangor University and has evolved from the popular RE News print magazine. The website initiative and excellent resource enables the Religious Education community across Wales .
